ABOUT COACH MADALON

Meet Coach Chris Madalon:

Chris Madalon is a former professional lacrosse player and passionate educator dedicated to helping athletes build skills, confidence, and a love for the game. A two-time High School All-American at Darien (CT) and an All-ACC standout at UNC, Chris played seven seasons in Major League Lacrosse, earning MLL All-Star honors in 2019 after setting the league’s single-season save record.


Chris has coached lacrosse at the youth and high school levels and brings years of classroom experience as a former fifth-grade teacher and current middle school physical education teacher. Lacrosse has meant so much to Chris throughout his life, and he is excited to share that passion by introducing the game to the next generation. As a coach, he focuses on fundamentals, effort, teamwork, and ensuring players have fun while learning how to compete the right way.

WHEN

Boys Lacrosse

Our Boys Lacrosse program begins Tuesday, March 31 and runs for 8 weeks. All sessions are 1-hour clinics.

Please note: There will be no sessions during April Break.

Girls Lacrosse

Our Girls Lacrosse program begins Wednesday, April 29 and run for 4 weeks. All sessions are 1-hour clinics.

SPRING 2026 LACROSSE

Kindergarten & 1st Grade

Our youngest players are introduced to the game of lacrosse through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate instruction. The focus at this level is building foundational skills while developing a love for the sport.

Skills We Focus On:

Cradling
Scooping (ground balls)
Shooting
Ball control
Introductory passing and catching
Basic defensive concepts
Overall fitness and coordination

Players are also introduced to team concepts, learning how to communicate, cooperate, and grow together. Each session is built around fun, skill-based games that keep players active, engaged, and excited to come back each week.


2nd & 3rd Grade

At this stage, players gain confidence and independence while continuing to develop their skills. All experience levels are welcome, and players are grouped to ensure the right balance of challenge and growth.

Skills We Focus On:

Cradling
Scooping (ground balls)
Shooting
Advanced ball control
Passing and catching
Dodging
Defensive positioning
Team concepts and game awareness

Players begin to deepen their understanding of game play while continuing to refine fundamentals in a supportive and energetic environment.

Equipment

No equipment needed — just bring your lacrosse stick!

To ensure a safe and age-appropriate experience, all sessions use soft lacrosse balls.
